Cast iron pans made in Ohio by Wagner Ware are second only to Griswold as the most famous, and arguably overpriced, antique cast iron pans. But from the 1950s to the 1960s Wagner also produced an enormous number of pans without their logo, especially for selling at discount stores and lower-priced retailers. These pans are very easy to identify because they completely listed the size and the word "skillet" without any abbreviations, and starting in the early 1960s Wagner put a MADE IN USA mark on all of their pans. Other than that, these pans are the same design and shape as the famous Wagner Ware cast iron pans, and while antique vendors have been recognizing this over the past few years and putting high price tags on unmarked Wagner pans, these pans are quite common and even today you can still find them at flea markets, garage sales, and other places, often at a very low price. If you find one of these, you've found a great bargain.
