And one country in the world stands out in the number of volcanoes erupting simultaneously. This country is Indonesia.

Experts analyzed the results of ground and satellite observations of precipitation. It turned out that immediately before the eruptions, there were heavy rainfalls, and an increase in the level of liquid in cracks and porous rocks contributed to the destruction of the rocks. As a result, the pressure of volcanic magma pushed weakened rocks to the surface in the form of a volcanic eruption. This corresponds to the observation that in wet and rainy years, Kilauea activity increases.
Right now, throughout Southeast Asia, of which Indonesia is a part, there is an annual rainy and flooding season. This explains the increased volcanic activity in the country at the moment.
