Kina'mu (teach them) by 2nd Generation

Welta’siek ukjit ula ktapikiaqn. We are excited to share our newest song Kina’mu which means “teach them” in the Mi’kmaw language. It was inspired by our youth learning our language through songs, as well as homage to some of the great L’nu songs with a fiddle, Ji’kmaqn, and a great Ko’jua Vibe. It features the talented duo of Morgan Toney and Keith Mullins.

The song speaks to the importance of Mi’kmaw values including the helping each other, living in peace, trying to love ourselves and our environment. The song also reminds families to teach about history and the journey we continue to be on, with a focus on safe keeping who we are for future generations.
