CSX Barr Yard Halsted St. Overpass Footage; IAIS Unit Ethanol At Mokena Later On, 2-23-11.

Out at CSX Barr Yard in Riverdale, something out of the ordinary caught my eye below as I drove over the Halsted St overpass. Upon closer investigation, SP B30-7 #7793 was seen in third out on a manifest waiting to go East. The unit hung around UP's Proviso deadline for a while until now, where it will go to Larry's Truck Electric in Ohio for scrapping.

Now on the Halsted St overpass, I get a glimpse of the action below. CSX Genset 3GS21B #1311 shoves cars on the East end under the eye of Halsted St. Tower.

12:26PM-
After another brakeman climbs aboard the caboose, a local laden with three hoppers begins its short trip to Dolton to work an industry there. CSXT GP15T #1502 is in charge with the Chessie caboose leading enroute. The locomotive will lead it back once they are done.

2:13PM-
Back in my native town of Mokena, IAIS CBBI rolls East towards Blue Island's Burr Oaks Yard, past the Front St Metra depot.
