Purpose:
Getting old is tough!
It is a time of loss, decline, dependence and stigma. It is even tougher for the poor because they have no way to mitigate these challenges. The situation is the worst for poor rural women who are mostly neglected and often abused by their family members.
Shailan Probeen NIbash will provide free accommodation, food and essential medicines for 40 such destitute persons so that they may spend their twilight years happily and peacefully.
Shailan has a well-established community with schools, madrassah, orphanage, mosque, a medical center, and head office of SOJAG all within 500 meters of the Project site.
