Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson said it was finally time to come to a compromise deal that was satisfactory for 2025 in order for him and the team to move forward to a common goal: having a successful season.

Hendrickson participated in his first practice of the 2025 season on Wednesday after ending his "hold-in" on Monday when he agreed to one-year, $29 million contract with a chance to earn another $1 if he plays at least 60 percent of the defensive snaps this season and the team makes the playoffs.

Following that practice he spent time at his locker discussing how the deal came together and why it was time for both sides to do so.
