Anteosaurus: The Protomammal Version Of Tyrannosaurus

Anteosaurus was the largest terrestrial predator from the Permian Period. While this saber-toothed stem-mammal was once envisioned as a slow, semi-aquatic animal, Anteosaurus was actually a faster Tyrannosaur rex analogue. It was not only massive, but had powerful, bone-crunching jaws.
