When I was a student, I used to gather with my friends, making Chung cake or joining Tet festivals held for the Vietnamese community in France. I was much more energetic then, joining different activities, singing and dancing, I had so much funnn

When Covid started, I got busier with work. My husband and I just gathered with some of our relatives, and there were even just the two of us some years. Not that we felt sad, but we so much missed the distinct nostalgic feeling of Tet, with spring rolls, pork rolls, Chung cakes, peach blossoms… But we have Boc and his grandmother this year, so this Tet becomes the most special Tet ever for us in France.

Hồi còn sinh viên, mình còn được tụ tập cùng làm bánh chưng với bạn bè hoặc đi các ngày hội được tổ chức cho cộng đồng người Việt Nam đón Tết tại Pháp. Hồi ấy mình cũng có nhiều năng lượng tham gia các hoạt động hơn bây giờ, tập hát rồi tập nhảy gì gì, rất là vuiii

Rồi mấy năm covid, mình cũng bắt đầu bận hơn với cuộc sống của người đi làm. Bọn mình chỉ tụ tập loanh quanh vài người thân, có năm còn chỉ có 2 đứa với nhau. Không buồn, nhưng thiếu cảm giác bồi hồi đặc trưng của Tết với nem, giò, bánh chưng, cành đào...
Nhưng năm nay thì có tận 4 người trong nhà, thêm bà và Bốc, nên Tết này là một Tết đặc biệt nhất từ trước đến nay của bọn mình trên đất Pháp.
