I meet a grizzly in the dark - Yellowstone Ecosystem

I saw 2 grizzly bears on this hike. The first one was about 35 yards in the dark and it was already moving away when I heard and spotted him. At this point, it was too dark for my camera but I do eventually get the bear on camera as it gets a little lighter. As with everything, start out slowly and safely, as in learning to drive or hiking in grizzly country. You have to gain experience and learn. Even then, you can be hurt driving your car down the road, or hiking in the backcountry. Keep things in perspective.
