We took the Alaska Railroad Denali Star GoldStar Service from Anchorage to Fairbanks. We enjoyed eating all three meals in the dining car and having access to the outdoor viewing platform. Our seats on the train were on the upper level and we got a great view of Denali as we approached Denali National Park. You could also book seats in Adventure Class, but it doesn't include meals or the domed car. This Alaska train was one of our favorites of the year.
