Best Tasty Chicken Tikka Masala for BBQ or Bake in the Oven
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Yogurt
2 tsp Red chili powder
2 tsp Roasted and crushed cumin
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tbsp Kashmiri lal mirch
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Garam masala
2 tsp Salt or to taste
1/8 tsp Food color (optional)
3 tbsp Tandoori masala
2.5 tbsp Green chili paste
2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
6 tbsp or 1/3 cup Lemon juice
1/4 cup Oil
Instructions:
Preparation: In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, red chili powder, roasted and crushed cumin, turmeric, Kashmiri lal mirch, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, food color (if using), tandoori masala, green chili paste, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, and oil. Mix well to make a smooth marinade.
Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them evenly. Cover and let the chicken marinate for at least 2 hours to absorb all the flavors. For best results, marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
Cooking:
BBQ on Charcoal: Preheat the grill and cook the chicken over medium heat. Grill each side for about 8-10 minutes, basting with oil or butter occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and has a smoky flavor.
Bake in the Oven: Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Place the marinated chicken on a baking tray and bake for 45-50 minutes or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
Serving: Serve the Chicken Tikka Masala hot with naan, rice, or a side of salad. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves if desired.
