Betel nut is one of the primary commerrcial crop of Malnad region in Karnataka. The harvesting season starts in Sep-Oct and goes on till Jan - Feb.

This video shows all the steps involved in the processing of the betel nut. Some of the steps varies in different places within malnad depending on which Market its being sold. The final product frorm this particular process is sold in Shimoga market.

The entire video is shot using GoPro Hero 3+ camera. Editing is done using free version of LIghtWorks.
