A happy patient, Vashisht Pathak, from Sidhi district in Madhya Pradesh, India shares their experiences regarding an eye injury.
I injured my eye during my childhood when I was 7 years old. Due to my eye being white (suffering from visual impairment), we face numerous challenges that we have to confront. Even for job opportunities, having one healthy eye while the other is impaired creates difficulties. When I try to explain to potential employers that I can drive a vehicle, and operate machines, they often wonder if I can handle expensive machinery effectively with just one functioning eye.
Initially, I went to Chitrakoot for treatment, but unfortunately, things didn't work out there. Later, we were preparing to go to Nepal for treatment, but upon meeting Rahil sir, we decided to relocate to Delhi. Going to Nepal was no longer necessary. In Nepal, there were talks of implanting a stone eye, but now staying here seems more appealing. If I can avoid having a stone eye and if my natural eye can be made functional again, it would be wonderful. Looking at oneself in the mirror with a damaged eye doesn't feel good.
