Khawar Saleem (Pakistan) and Thyra Holst (Germany) present their intercultural collaboration: Together, they created the Sun Dress from Thyra's abstract self-portrait series, uniting Khawar's 45 years of traditional Aari embroidery mastery with contemporary artistic concepts.
A meaningful homecoming: Khawar Saleem began his studies at NCA in 1970, 55 years ago. Now he returns as part of an international artist duo, demonstrating how cultural dialogue enriches both tradition and innovation.

Khawar Saleem: Textile coordinator with 45 years of experience, master of harmonious color combinations and traditional Pakistani embroidery techniques.
Thyra Holst: Multidisciplinary artist (Germany), trained in ballet and modern dance. Founder of kulturdialog e.V., promoting intercultural understanding through the emotional language of art.
