Beloved, having last week unpacked the so-called “God particle”, I wish to explore a deeper truth. It is this: G-d is not a created being, He is the uncreated Creator.

It is G-d who created everything, therefore he transcend time itself. Genesis 1:1 declares: “In the beginning, G-d created the heavens and the earth”. Notice that G-d is the uncreated Creator. Psalm 90:2 proclaims, “From everlasting to everlasting, You are G-d.” G-d is not bound by time, space or matter, which are created things.

To imagine G-d as part of the universe, however exalted, is to misunderstand Him entirely. In fact, He reveals Himself as being self-existent. When Moses asked His name, G-d replied, “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14). This is not merely a title, it is revelation. G-d depends on nothing. Everything else depends on Him.

Creation is contingent; it depends on G-d, who is necessary being. All things, seen and unseen, derive their being from G-d, the source of all things. As Paul declares, “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together” (Colossians 1:17).

Beloved, let us anchor our faith in G-d, the uncreated Creator.
