VJ James: V J James is an acclaimed short story writer and novelist. He has published seven novels and five short story collections. Purappadinte Pusthakam, his debut novel, received the DC Books Silver Jubilee Novel Award in 1999. James bagged the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and the Vayalar Award for his novel, Nireeshwaran, and the O.V. Vijayan Award for his novel, Anti-Clock. The novels Nireeswaran, Anti-Clock, Chorashastra, and Dattapaharam were published in English by Penguin Random House. The English translation of Anti-Clock was shortlisted for the 2021 JCB Prize for Literature and longlisted for the Valley of Words (VoW) Book Award 2021, and Chorashasthra was shortlisted for the Atta Galatta Bangalore Literature Festival Book Prize.

VT Balram: V T Balram is a politician and a member of the Indian National Congress. He is the Vice President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee. Balram represented the Thrithala constituency in the Kerala Legislative Assembly for two consecutive terms. He is the author of the book, Idapedalukal.
