Vladimir Putin arrives in Italy and meets Pope Francis

Russian president Vladimir Putin (pictured left), arrives at Fiumicino airport in Rome for a one-day visit to meet the Pope (pictured top centre) and Italian deputy prime minister, Matteo Salvini. Security in Rome has been heightened due to the Russian premier's arrival and he will travel through the city in his six-metre-long fully armoured Aurus Senat limousine (pictured right).
