How do you reflect on your life: what you have learnt, where you had opportunities to develop, and where you were perhaps restricted and stifled?
We all seek fulfilment - to be the best we can be. Successful leaders support and challenge those they lead, recognising the capacity others have and encouraging them to find it in themselves. We can’t be what we can’t see – including in ourselves. Get the best from yourself and others. You will be happier, more effective and confident, and the world will definitely be the stronger for it. Jill Berry taught for thirty years, and was a head for the last ten. After leaving headship in 2010 she completed a doctorate focussing on the transition to headship, and wrote a book 'Making the Leap - Moving from Deputy to Head' (Crown House, 2016 https://www.crownhouse.co.uk/publicat.... She carries out leadership consultancy work, and is particularly keen to encourage aspiring and serving leaders at all levels.
Jill has been involved in #WomenEd, a network supporting women leaders in education, since its inception in 2012.
