Getting your drum tracks sounding like a cohesive unit can be challenging.

You can tweak and tweak your individual drum tracks till the cows come home only to realize that your drums don't work together as a unit.

I find this to be one of the most frustrating things to realize when listening back to a mix that I worked my ass off on the entire night before.

Over the years I've found that real trick is to focus on the following techniques:
