A spectacular after-dark image defines the reimagined Battersea Power Station, celebrating its industrial heritage and an exciting new future. The masterplan and subsequent lighting designs for a wide range of historic and contemporary buildings and spaces across the site create a positive experience for the development's diverse users. A sensitive balance of light and shade helps to deliver a sense of privacy, intimacy, safety, and security for residents, facilitates wayfinding for shoppers and diners, and creates a vibrant atmosphere for locals, visitors, and tourists alike.

The 2024 IALD International Lighting Design Awards was celebrated in a San Diego, California, presentation event. Twenty-eight projects from ten countries were recognized and applauded for demonstrating exceptional lighting design and contributing to the professional community.

Now in its 41st year, the IALD International Lighting Design Awards is the longest-running program that recognizes architectural lighting design excellence. Receiving an IALD award is universally heralded as the top honor in the lighting design industry. Since its inception in 1983, the IALD International Lighting Design Awards has honored lighting design that reaches new heights, moves beyond the ordinary, and represents excellence in aesthetic and technical design achievement.
