Control Your RC Car Using An Airplane Transmitter (How-To) - RCLifeOn

One of my subscribers left a comment asking how to modify your RC car to be controlled using a standard airplane/helicopter 6-channel transmitter, instead of a RC car transmitter.

There's is nothing too complicated, all you have to do is program your ESC and set the endpoints of the throttle stick. You do this by connecting the speed controller connector to the throttle port of your receiver. Connect the servo to either the rudder or aileron port. Power up your transmitter, and connect a battery to the RC car. You program the ESC by pushing the throttle stick to the maximum (up), wait for the confirming beeps, and shortly after push the throttle stick to the minimum (down). Again, wait for the confirming beeps, and push the stick to the neutral position (middle). You are now all set!
