Описание к видео First Test! Federal Signal 2001-SRNB: Steady/Alert Signal - Koylton Twp, MI - 6/7/23

Date🗓: 6/7/23
Signal(s)🔈: Steady (Alert)
Duration⏱: 3 minutes
Location📍: Koylton Twp, Tuscola County, Michigan

First full test of this new refurbished 2001-SRNB. This is also Koylton Twp’s first tornado siren ever installed. Since Tuscola County does not have a central remote control system for their sirens, this siren is programmed to activate automatically for Tornado Warnings via NOAA Weather Radio EAS tones, which means the siren must be manually tested on site. West Shore Services installed a manual push button at about eye level as an easy way to test the siren and it worked well. It was an honor to be the first one to test the siren! Tim Reinhardt and the township clerk were also present for the test!

July 2023 Update: This siren is now programmed to receive Required Weekly Tests from the National Weather Service every Wednesday which will trigger the chopper motor for 3 seconds along with a 30 second horn rotation. Now the siren’s radio can be tested without waiting for a Tornado Warning to be issued.
