Dr. Beaubien-Souligny is a nephrologist and principal researcher at the CHUM. His activities are supported by the FRQS and the KRESCENT program of the Kidney Foundation of Canada. He has authored 80 peer-reviewed publications since 2017. His main areas of interest include acute renal failure, renal replacement therapy in intensive care, hemodynamic monitoring, and bedside ultrasound. He is the principal investigator of a CIHR-funded multicenter randomized clinical trial on fluid management in acute renal failure.

Objectives:
1. Recognize the issues related to fluid accumulation in acute renal failure.
2. Summarize the different assessment methods available to guide fluid management.
3. Identify potential strategies to minimize fluid accumulation in the ICU.
