Cleaning Project C1's engine bay

Описание к видео Cleaning Project C1's engine bay

In this video, I’m cleaning the engine bay. I’m still waiting on parts to arrive for some other modifications I’ve got in the pipe line, so I’m filling some time. I’ve wanted to do this for quite some time because I’ve never actually done this before. I’ve had to do some research on this to see how other people have managed to clean their engine bays and I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m cleaning my engine bay, not detailing it!

I’ve decided to not use my jet wash for this, I’m using low pressure water instead. Though it would probably be fine if I did, I’m not risking putting pressurised water on the engine bay in case water found its way into things like the fuse box, plugs etc. I’m using some traffic film remover to degrease the engine and bay, followed by some shampoo to really get into all the grease and grime. I’m using Tropic by The Detail Kitchen (where you can use code ‘aygojoe’ for 10% off). It’s a brilliant product that’s safe for vinyl wraps and stickers and for every sale, 20% of it goes towards cleaning up the oceans of plastic, which I’m absolutely all for! Once that’s all cleaned and rinsed, I used Auto Glym’s Vinyl & Rubber care. I used an air line to blast away most of the surface water and then sprayed this onto the engine and the walls of the engine bay while it was still wet and allowed it to dry. Once it was dry, I used an old microfibre cloth to buff it to a shine and it looks awesome!
