I think if I had to pick my favorite video game music soundtrack, it would be Chrono Trigger. I was blown away by the soundtrack within only a few minutes of gameplay. This piece and Wind Scene (600 A.D.) are always fighting for a spot as my favorite track from the game! And they both appear rather early on!
It took me weeks to arrange this one... I kept trying new ideas, giving up, then coming back to it. I love it so much I was just never quite satisfied with what I was coming up with. But eventually, I prevailed! I'm pretty happy with it, I think :)
