Frame by Frame Animation inside of After Effects!

Описание к видео Frame by Frame Animation inside of After Effects!

In this After Effects Tutorial, I'll show you how to animate frame by frame inside of After Effects.
Usually you would do stuff like that in Rough Animator, Photoshop or Procreate.
But there’s a simple trick, that makes it much easier

First of all, we add an adjustment layer and "Posterize Time" because frame by frame animation is usually done with 12 fps.
Next we add a new shape with a simple ellipse. We set a path keyframe and move the shape...
The problem in After Effects is, you can’t really see your last step. You’re basically blind.
You could go back and forth, but that’s really annoying.

The solution: CC Wide time!
CC Wide time looks one step back and blends it into the current frame. Awesome right?
That makes frame by frame animation in After Effects easy.
We animate the drop. And really helpful is... We see the last step.
After animating the main shape, we need to add some more detail shapes, like splashes.

Finally we glam the drop up and add two layer styles. Bevel and emboss and inner shadow.

So I guess, CC Wide time isn’t a perfect solution - as After Effects isn’t specially made for frame by frame animation, but it should be alright for some easy and simple shapes.

I use it quite a lot.
