It's my first time throwing clay and trying to make pottery. I am in the White Center neighborhood of Seattle, Washington at Rat City Studios. The studio is owned and operated by Deb Schwartzkopf. Deb has been making pottery for over 20 years, she has a Master’s of Fine Art from Penn State, and her artwork is included in collections such as the Kamm Teapot Foundation, San Angelo Museum, the WA State Arts Collection, and featured in numerous publications including Ceramic Monthly, Pottery Making Illustrated, and Studio Potter Magazine.
She is excited to announce the opening of a sister studio, Rain City Clay in West Seattle. This will be space for experiential group learning, a ceramics specialty shop, and creating bridges to cross-pollinate communities, and more! #pottery #throwingclay #seattle
