I Cut My Own Hair Using The Manes By Mell Pigtail Haircut

See my before and after results from trying the Mains by Mell pigtail haircut on my wavy hair! In this DIY wavy haircut tutorial, I walk through how I sectioned, tied back, and trimmed my hair using the pigtail cutting method. This technique is supposed to help add layers and reduce bulk in wavy and curly hair. I used affordable haircutting shears from Amazon and was pleasantly surprised that I didn't completely ruin my hair! The ends definitely look healthier and I got some nice face framing layers in the front. However, the layers in the back did end up a little uneven. I'm considering going back in and taking off a bit more length in certain sections to try and even it out. Have you tried cutting your own wavy or curly hair at home?
