In this week’s episode we cover:

1. I have just finished the body of my first ever colour work jumper and started thinking about how to block my project when I finish the sleeves. My question is do I sew in my ends first before I block or do I sew them in when I finish blocking? My thinking is that if I do it after blocking I will have a better chance of evening out my colour work which is a bit uneven in tension. What are your thoughts? Love watching you and learning so much xx.

2. I would love to try my hand at designing and writing knitting patterns. What resources or practices helped you when you first started? Is there anything you wished you did differently at the beginning? What helped you develop your personal design style?

3. Dear Andrea, thank you for all your amazing answers! I'm an English style knitter and who knits pretty tight. You talk quite often about that you need to change your tools and not the way you knit when it comes to knitting looser or tighter. I really want to try and knit something with colorwork, but I'm afraid the floods will be to tight. I tried wooden needle, to knit looser, but I don't like them (because I'm clumpsie and break them accidentally by sitting on them). Right now I really like to knit with the Chiagoo metal needles. I know that knitting continental will also loosen my stitches, but I don't know if I want to learn a complete different way to knit, just so that I can knit some colorwork... The dilemmas... Do you know something else that I can try? Thank you in advance!

4. I have been intrigued by brioche knitting and want to try it, especially a brioche sweater. And I like to have short rows on my knitted sweater. My question if Should I knit brioche in the round and then when I am knitting the short rows I should knit brioche flat. Am I thinking correctly or am I wrong and I hope you understand my question😄
