Rhode Island files lawsuit against 13 Washington Bridge contractors

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha said Friday that the state has filed a lawsuit against 13 contractors that provided services related to the Washington Bridge in an attempt to recover funds stemming from the bridge's closure.

The lawsuit will try to hold accountable those companies allegedly responsible for the closure of the bridge and to recover significant resources, according to a joint release from the attorney general's office, Gov. Dan McKee, and the governor’s legal team of Max Wistow and Jonathan Savage.
