Savory Potato Waffles Using Leftover Mashed Potatoes.

Today am making Savory Potato Waffles Using Leftover Mashed Potatoes.

Have you ever eaten Hash browns? made with potatoes, well this is even better made with leftover mashed potatoes or freshly mashed and in the shape of a waffle. Could be eaten with eggs for breakfast, as a side dish for dinner, or as a snack with some guacamole Sauce or hot or spicy tortilla chip sauce.

Ingredients:

1 Onion Chopped
1 Tablespoon Minced garlic
2 cups mashed potatoes fresh or leftover
2 Large eggs at room temperature
1/4 Cup all-purpose flour
1/4 Teaspoon salt
1/4 Teaspoon ground pepper
1/4 Teaspoon baking powder

How to make it:

When frying the onions and garlic add 2 tablespoons non salted butter
With a small drizzle of olive oil so the butter will not burn.

Spray the waffle maker with cooking oil.

Scoop 1/4 cup of the potato batter into the waffle maker.

When making them on the waffle maker, they will cook for approximately
5 minutes or until you see they are lightly golden in color.

You will get 9 Potato Waffles.
