Was in doubt this morning whether to record SLGL or SVRA (both were gapping over 100% and looked good), but decided to give this one a go. Given the pre-market action, definitely expected more from the stock (in terms of volume/range), but it ended up being very inactive. SVRA had a much better action, but it is what it is.

What’s the best way to learn how to read the tape?

Watch replays. Over and over again. Try to get the feeling of how stocks move. See how they trade relative to the time of the day. Try to identify what is algo trying to do. See what happens near key levels. See what happens when money flows in/out. See what happens when big player(s) step in/out.

Also, understand that it won’t click after seeing one video. It takes time. It takes experience. Be consistent and you will get better at it, slowly but surely.
