Hi, I am Crypto A.V. Welcome to this new video on ICE DAO.

ICE DAO is a decentralized reserve currency on Avalanche, it's an Olympus DAO fork that launched on the 26th of November

It's a protocol based on the ICE token. Each ICE token is backed by a basket of assets in the ICE treasury, giving it an intrinsic value that it cannot fall below.

Ice DAO is a community-driven DAO that introduces unique economic and game-theoretic dynamics into the market through staking and bonding. These two mechanisms are crucial for creating a sustainable reserve currency while optimizing for short and long-term wealth creation for holders of the ICE token.

Why does ICE DAO exist? Here's what they say

Our goal is to build a policy-controlled currency system, in which the behavior of the ICE token is controlled at a high level by the DAO. In the long term, we believe this system can be used to optimize for stability and consistency so that ICE can function as a global unit-of-account and medium-of-exchange currency. In the short term, we intend to optimize the system for growth and wealth creation.

It's important to note that the team behind ICE DAO is anonymous. This is how most of the DAOs work they do not show who they are.

There's just Time Wonderland who I have in mind who we know that Daniel Esesta is behind the DAO.

How does ICE DAO work?

At a high level, ICE DAO consists of its protocol managed treasury, protocol owned liquidity, bond mechanism, and staking rewards that are designed to control supply expansion.

Bond sales generate profit for the protocol, and the treasury uses the profit to mint ICE and distribute them to stakers. With liquidity bonds, the protocol is able to accumulate its own liquidity.

Now I am going to show you can make money with ICE DAO.

First you can buy ICE tokens, on here. The page of Trader joe will appear and the ICE token will be added automatically. Check the box. And click continue.

Now the token is added and you can swap any tokens on the Avalanche network to ICE tokens.

It's important to know that ICE DAO is not associated with Popsicle Finance. Popsicle created it's token ICE more than a year ago and ICE Dao has been here for only 25 days.

Let's go to staking.

Here you can stake your ICE tokens. Connect your wallet. click approve and it's done.

Then here you can unstake with the same process.

ICE DAO added their calculator just below, it's a nice touch.

You can input how many ICE you want to invest and they will tell you how many Lamborghini Huracan they could get by staking. This is obviously not their idea. This idea comes from Time Wonderland. Anyway it's cool.

Then here's the bonding section.

Bonding allows ICE to accumulate its own liquidity.

Bonding is the secondary value accrual strategy of ICE. It allows ICE to acquire its own liquidity and other reserve assets such as MIM by selling ICE at a discount in exchange for these assets.

The protocol quotes the bonder with terms such as the bond price, the amount of ICE tokens entitled to the bonder, and the vesting term. The bonder can claim some of the rewards as they vest, and at the end of the vesting term, the full amount will be claimable.
