They say you never forget your first love and it's true. Toula was my true first love from the age of 13 to 15. I will certainly never forget her or her place in my heart, for the piece of her heart that she left with me. It was a sweet and a young and an innocent love. It was a good love. Surely the Good Lord spared her me when He led her to her current husband and father of her children. For when you find yourself Dancing with Dragonflies, you can see clearly through all the lies.

There are officially three versions to this song:


1. The very first recording is this release from my 1994 demo tape called, Toula's Song. Special Thanks to Sean "Briney" Martin on lead guitar and the mystery bongo player... Yeah, my memory fails me and I can't remember what the other thing to look out for in old age that my "Pops", Don Maxwell warned me about.. I had it narrowed down in my mind between Paul Sinacore from L.A. or maybe Chris Jordan from South Florida... until I asked Sean what he could remember and he told me he thought it might be Joe Andrews also from South Florida which I know played keyboard and bass on a few of my tracks between 1994 and 1995. If you are or know who the Mystery Bongo Player is please come forward and my apologies for forgetting.


2. The second recording of this song was released on my Spirit Jam CD back in 2001 under the title of Dancing With Fate which was recorded with David Shelley on percussion and me on guitars and bass.

3. The third recording of the song hasn't occurred yet as I haven't quiet finished working out all the lyrics that I'm finally getting out of my head and arranged but the newest working title is, Toula's Dancing With Dragonflies.
