The Alpspitze is a mountain, 2628 m, in Bavaria, Germany. Its pyramidal peak is the symbol of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and is one of the best known and most attractive mountains of the Northern Limestone Alps. Even though Zugspitze is the highest mountain in Germany, Alpspitze right next to it gets a ton of attention for its cable cars, stunning views, hikes and skiing. You can reach the top of the mountain through the cable car station located near it, or through the hiking and climbing paths designated for this purpose and enjoy an enchanting view, especially in the winter period. It’s popular but not nearly as touristy and overcrowded as the Zugspitze. The beauty of the mountain, its curious shape, and its scenic views have made it one of the most popular places in the country for mountain climbers.
Eibsee is a lake in Bavaria, Germany, 9 km southwest of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and roughly 100 km southwest of Munich. Special Due to its unique position at the foot of the Zugspitze and its clear, emerald-green shimmering water. It’s especially scenic because it’s backed by jagged limestone peaks, encircled by thick forest, and studded with eight tiny islands. The lake is 2.39 km long, 1.09 km wide and has a depth of 35 m (depending on water level) and along its north side has seven islands.
