Triggers offer a wide range of possibilities for interfacing drum machines to other gear. Watch how JAde Wii of ‪@jadewii‬ uses the TR-06 drum machine trigger input to sequence it with the TB-03 Bass Line via its GATE output. A mix input lets users bring the sounds of other gear routed back through the TR-06, running it through the machine’s onboard effects. This creates a more cohesive, glued-together mix. In this case, each incoming “on” step from the TB-03 triggers the next step in the drum pattern. A single pattern can produce different variations depending on the TB-03 melody.
