‘I’m Coming Home’, is the brand new second single from multi-award winning Amber Lawrence’s forthcoming seventh studio album.

‘I’m Coming Home’ is a stunning track that epitomises the heartbreak and joy of being away from loved ones and a beloved home country. The song perfectly paints the ache of Australians who have either been stuck overseas or interstate these past 18 months due to frustrating Covid-19 border closures.

Amber’s angelic voice floats across the production of acoustic guitar and percussion with a sense of optimism, relief and gratitude, and is a fresh soundtrack, perfect for summer homecomings.
 
“I wrote the first verse after talking with my husband about the years of his life spent living in London, and how he eventually made the decision to come home. When I told Katrina Burgoyne (my co-writer) of my idea, she immediately connected with the song, being an Australian based in Nashville USA, but without the ability to come home due to the difficulties caused by Covid border closures. By the end of the writing session we were both crying, imagining emotional reunion with our family”
 
With the challenges of making a music video during lockdown, Amber already knew she had everything she needed from various overseas work and holiday trips that fit perfectly into the narrative of the song. Amber has included her travel videos from France, Italy, Thailand, The UK and the USA, with some emotional home coming footage. The video was shot mostly on iPhone, and was produced, directed and edited by Amber.
