Hank Sr’s gut-wrenching rendition was recorded in 1948 for a KWKH radio show in Shreveport, Louisiana. Posthumously released in 1955. Hank died in 1953.

I made this video exactly a year ago, playing a 70s Fender Telecaster through a late 60s Princeton, both of which I no longer have.
