🚴‍♂️Phoenix to New Mexico On Electric Bike | Solar Electric Bike Tour Across Arizona

Описание к видео 🚴‍♂️Phoenix to New Mexico On Electric Bike | Solar Electric Bike Tour Across Arizona

I embark on a 543-mile solar electric bike packing tour across Arizona. Starting from my doorstep in Peoria, I’ll be riding through the scenic AZ highway system all the way to New Mexico and back, powered by the sun.

On this journey, I’m harnessing the power of foldable solar panels to fuel my travels, giving me the freedom to ride about 50 miles a day without the need for frequent hotel stops. Each day, I aim to start charging by noon, taking advantage of the stronger afternoon sun for better solar results.

From the quiet streets of Phoenix to the bustling roads of Payson, and the serene woods near Heber, every pedal stroke is a story. Stealth camping near McNary, rolling down to Big Lake, and crossing into New Mexico, I’m pushing the limits of sustainable travel.

Whether I’m setting up camp under the stars or booking a rare hotel room to recharge, I’m living proof that with a bit of ingenuity and a lot of determination, you can explore the world on your terms.

So, if you’re into breathtaking landscapes, innovative tech, and the spirit of adventure, this is the channel for you. Subscribe and ride along with me on this epic solar-powered journey. Let’s roll into the future, one sunny mile at a time!

0:00 Day 1 - Phoenix to Fountain Hills
I start this tour right from my front door in the middle of the night to avoid the desert heat.

3:54 Day 2 - Fountain Hills to Payson
Day two starts at night on the side of interstate I-87 heading from Phoenix to Payson. Electric bike packing at its best.

13:13 Day 3 - Payson to Heber
Day 3 start in Payson and I travel east along on i-260 to just outside of the city of Heber to e bike camp in the woods. I-260 is not safe to ride on, but I didn't let that stop me.

30:50 Day 4 - Heber to McNary
Starts just outside of Heber and I travel along i-260 to a few miles outside of McNary.

38:06 Day 5 - McNary to Big Lake
This day starts at a stealth camp near McNary headed down 260 east to 273 south to Big Lake.

47:50 Day 6 - Big Lake to New Mexico
Day starts at a RV camp at big lake and end on the New Mexico boarder where I once again charge the bike up using solar.

57:34 Day 7 - New Mexico to Pinetop
On this day I head from camp just on the other side of the Arizona border in New Mexico and head to Pinetop-Lakeside Arizona to book a hotel room.

1:06:43 Day 8 - Pinetop to Payson
This day I go from Pinetop-Lakeside to Payson for a total of 115 miles using I260.

1:16:29 Day 9 - Payson to Peoria
This is the last day of a 542.9 mile solar electric bike tour of Arizona. I have to wait hours for the sun to start going down so I can start the trip down into the Phoenix valley. As I wait a cop comes and asks me for ID.
