Active learning refers to a broad range of Learner‐centred, teaching strategies to engage learners as active participants in their learning.

This innovative approach is based on evidence from Learning Science. It explores how we can get more effective learning experience by giving the learner opportunities to apply, analyse and synthesize prior knowledge in order to create personal meaning. This can in-turn lead to, increased knowledge retention, a deeper learning experience and improved learner outcomes.
