In today’s video, we will be discussing the new stringent asylum policies being introduced by the UK to prevent irregular migrations.

As the UK is making its asylum policies firmer, many asylum seekers are trying to make their way to the country before the vital changes are passed into law. Since the beginning of 2022, this week marked a new record of at least 9,000 people coming onto British seashores.

More than 9,000 people are thought to have travelled across the Atlantic Ocean from France to Britain since the beginning of the year according to the British Press Association (PA) news agency.

In the week of May 16 2022 alone, 685 arrivals were counted by authorities on British shores within a span of just five days, with the numbers already reaching three times the number from the same month last year.
