Today we’re breaking down an incredible traffic stop where a driver—who just happens to be a third-year law student—knew his rights and exercised them perfectly.

Here’s what happened: The officer, Sgt. McClain, pulled the car over for a missing headlight. Right away, the officer starts probing, asking the driver to take field sobriety tests. But instead of getting nervous or talking himself into trouble, the driver calmly says: “I don’t take tests.”

He doesn’t argue. He doesn’t explain. He simply invokes his Fifth Amendment right to remain silent and refuses to answer questions. That’s exactly what I’ve been telling you in my videos and in my book I Don’t Answer Questions.

Now here’s the key part—

The officer admits he doesn’t smell alcohol.

He says he smells something “fruity” in the car, but he can’t point to any real signs of impairment.

No slurred speech.

No stumbling.

No bad driving beyond the headlight.

And here’s the outcome: instead of making an arrest or trying to force the issue, the officer backs down. He makes the driver call someone to pick him up, but no DUI arrest is made.

👉 This is textbook: knowing your rights, staying calm, not answering questions, and not volunteering information that can be twisted against you. The driver walked away without a charge because he knew the Constitution had his back.
