The death of Bill Maynard was sadly announced on 30th March 2018. Here's a clip of him recorded for Yorkshire TV's 21st birthday back in 1989, introducing an episode of Oh No It's Selwyn Froggitt, in which he played the title role.

Bill was perhaps better known for playing Claude Greengrass in the YTV series Heartbeat.
