Dr. Mephesto will fill the Sci-fi legendary lineup as a tank with great battlefield control capabilities. With his charge power he uses his mighty ass-tentacles to punch the nearest (ground) enemy to your New Kid up to 8 times total dealing damage, freezing and pushing them back. Note that the target of the power might change if the previous target is pushed back behind other units, so he can push back an entire wave of enemies vying for your New Kid!

His power can be used both defensively and in offence. Got a wave of enemies pushing to your New Kid? Push them back and create some room to play your own units to fight them! Or when you’re on the offence, push the enemy units back and clear the way for yours to engage the opposing New Kid!

Good synergies with the card include many long-ranged units like Alchemist Scott or Nathan as Dr. Mephesto can push enemies away and they need to catch up while you pepper them with continuous fire from afar, any area of effects that you can push enemies back into such as lava, or even headhunters as you clear the way for them to engage the enemy New Kid! He also counters your opponent’s headhunters handily, as his power always targets the enemy nearest to your New Kid, so Dougie is in for a smelly surprise!

In terms of weaknesses flying units are the most obvious one since his power can’t hit them. Additionally, he does get swarmed quite easily, the charge power takes quite a while to build up, and his power won’t deal massive damage across multiple targets, so make sure to time it strategically to cause maximum mayhem!
