Type 1 transaction: TSU player's NIL deal with diabetes company

The Tennessee State University football team is heading to the playoffs for the first time in more than 10 years.

Since then, college athletes have been able to cash in on their name, image and likeness, known as NIL deals.

Tigers tight end Joshua Meriwether has a unique deal with a company that makes a device helping him manage a disease that can be challenging, especially for a Division I football player.
