DRUM COVER - Swingin' For The Fences by Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band

For those that are not following me on Instagram and didn't see, I recently got my white marine pearl Ludwig kit set up (20" kick, 12" rack tom, 14" floor tom) after moving some things around in the basement. I decided to get it miked up with a simple recorder-man setup using the overheads and the kick mic from my Audix FP7 mic pack. I was really surprised with the sound of the kit after mixing it with this track from the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band Play-Along book. I highly recommend these books if you're looking to develop big band chops/chart reading skills. Hoping to do some more covers and jazz play alongs while I've got this kit set up!
