It's the best route for people living in the eastern suburbs and Navi Mumbai to reach South Mumbai, especially the CST, Fort area. This route is almost 14km long and cuts a lot of drive time as rickshaws or motorbikes/scooters are not allowed to ply on Eastern Freeway.
