The Centre has announced that IndiGo flight schedules are expected to stabilise by Saturday, with full normalcy likely within three days. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said a high-level inquiry has been ordered to investigate the record cancellations, which crossed 500 flights for the second day. The DGCA has set up a four-member committee to examine operational lapses and ensure accountability. Naidu justified the temporary relaxation of Flight Duty Time Limitations for pilots, emphasizing that safety will not be compromised. Airlines have been directed to provide accurate updates, automatic refunds, hotel support for stranded passengers, and special priority for senior citizens and differently-abled flyers.
