Creative affirmations for Black women. You have permission to take your time. I have permission to take my time. I am in no rush, even if others rush around me. Baby steps are healthy steps,
And they are still steps in the right direction. I am allowed to set my own pace and benchmarks. I commit to setting a pace that is kind, gentle and fun for me. One that leaves room for happy surprises. My work will take the time it needs to take. I will not rush the process, instead I will be present in the process. Soaking up every lesson, every joy and every thing this process has to offer. Each stage deserves to be appreciated
Every step deserves my attention. I owe it to myself to give myself space and time to create art that I am proud of. Rushing the process and rushing myself takes the joy out of creating. And puts unnecessary pressure on myself and my art. And I deserve joy. And I deserve a safe and open space to flourish and bloom. I, and my art, are allowed to be.
And to be with joy.
