Описание к видео Baan Pak Pra - Patthalung - บ้านปากประ พัทลุง

Baan Pak Pra is a small town in the province of Phatthalung in the south of Thailand.
One of the must seen things at Baan Pak Pra are the traditional fishing traps called Yok Yor.

Yok Yor, the Thai name for a fish trap made of bamboo and net, is widely used by fishermen in South East Asia.
This traditional way of fishing is practices by fishermen in fresh water regions where the catch is mainly small fish that the locals will deep fry for their daily consumption as well as selling to the market.

Many words in the Thai language have dual meaning, and when combined with other words they can express a different meaning from the original word, both negative and positive.
Yok Yor by itself can mean adulate, laud, compliment, praise, eulogize or just "Fish Trap".
